- Hotel Neri (www.hotelneri.com): an old palace from the XVIII century, in the Barri Gothic, incredible interior, belongs to the Habitat group and has a 5 star restaurant, worth a visit.

- Hotel Art (www.hotelartsbarcelona.com): directly on the beach at the Port Olympic. The nicest are the Junior Suites on top, belongs to the Ritz group, so it’s not cheap, but sometimes one can get a special deal with a travel agent.

Eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Barcelona ist das MADRID-BARCELONA auf der Arragon (überhaupt nicht teuer und für mich klassisch katalanisch). Man kann dort nicht reservieren, aber wenn Ihr vor 21:00 Uhr da seid, dann bekommt man gut einen Tisch.
Wo man dringend reservieren sollte - ist der Baske - sein Restaurant Kaiku in Barceloneta ist NUR mittags geöffnet 932 219 082, und auf der Platte kurz vorm Strand (Praca Mar 1). Super um mittags ein langes, nettes Lunch zu machen.
Ein sehr nettes Restaurant ist auch die Bar MUT an der Diagonal.
Wenn Ihr mal nicht Spanisch wollt - dann ist das japanische Restaurant Shuka (93 412 4919) sehr zu empfehlen oder Salero (vom Essen asiatisch angehaucht, das Licht soooo romantisch).
Botafumeiro ist eins der besten Fischlokale aber fast spiessig in der Einrichtung.

One of our favorite restaurants in Barcelona is MADRID-BARCELONA on Arragon, not expensive at all and a classic for the Catalan kitchen. One can’t reserve, but if you come before 9 p.m. you’re sure to get a table.
Where you should always reserve is at Kaiku in Barceloneta. It belongs to a Basque and he ONLY opens for lunch, 932 219 082. It’s located on the cement board walk (Praca Mar 1). Great for endless lunches.
A really nice bar turned restaurant is Bar MUT on the Diagonal.
If you’re sick and tired of the Spanish cuisine, try the traditional Japanese restaurant Shuka, (93 412 4919) or Salero (sort of Asian food with the sooo romantic lighting).
Botafumeiro in Gracia is one of the best fish restaurants in Barcelona but quite classic. Presidents go there, but the incredible huge fish platter is worth its price.

Am besten Marc, den Veranstalter anrufen 617 956 572 und einen zweier Tisch mit wunderschöner Sicht über den Hafen reservieren.

In summer there is a very laid back BBQ bar, sort of a hillside Café del Mar, called La Caseta de Migdia, by the Mirador del Migdia. Best call Marc, the owner, 617 956 572, and reserve a table for two with a spectacular view of the harbor.
